Number of voters has crossed 84 lakhs in U’khand: Jogdande

Final Voter List for 2025 released under Special Summary Revision Prog

Dehradun, 6 Jan: The Election Commission of India has released the final voter list for Uttarakhand under the Special Summary Revision Programme 2025, based on the eligibility date of 1 January 2025. This information was shared by Additional Chief Electoral Officer of Uttarakhand, Dr Vijay Kumar Jogdande, during a press conference held at the Media Centre of the Secretariat here today.

Jogdande stated that the finalised voter list published today includes 84,29,459 voters. This figure comprises 43,64,667 (43.64 lakhs) male voters, 40,64,488 (40.64 lakhs) female voters, and 304 third-gender voters.

Jogdande further revealed that the state currently has 89,812 service voters, including 87,103 male and 2,709 female service voters. The state also has a total of 11,733 polling stations, with 3,462 located in urban areas and 8,271 in rural areas.

He stated that as on 1 January 2025, there are 1,44,400 voters in the 18-19 age group, 16,27,026 voters in the 20-29 age group, 22,67,477 voters in the 30-39 age group (the highest number), 17,79,879 voters in the 40-49 age group, 12,33,140 voters in the 50-59 age group, 7,80,598 voters in the 60-69 age group, 4,34,870 voters in the 70-79 age group, and 1,62,069 voters in the 80+ age group.

Jogdande also shared with the media data on special categories of voters. He said that there are currently 83,819 voters with disabilities in the state, comprising 51,877 males, 31,938 females, and 4 third-gender voters. Additionally, there are 68,112 voters aged 85 and above, including 83,819 males, 27,905 females, and 2 third-gender individuals.

He emphasised that citizens turning 18 on 1 April, 1 July, or 1 October can register as voters by submitting Form 6 to include their names in the voter list.

During the press conference, Deputy Chief Electoral Officers Kishan Singh Negi and Mukta Mishra, along with Assistant Chief Electoral Officer Mastu Das, were also present.
