DEHRADUN, 24 Oct: The Olympus High School celebrated its 20th Annual Athletics Meet & PT Display in its premises, here, today. The Chief Guest on the occasion was Executive Director, ONGC, Manoj Barthwal, while General Manager (KDMPIE – ONGC) JS Waraich, who is also a renowned International Hammer Throw Champion, was the Guest of Honour. The tiny tots of classes PG – I showcased their amazing dance skills with a PT display, ‘The Ocean Fun’, and classes II-V through ‘English Vinglish’. The young athletes also took part in races such as ‘Jal Hi Jeevan Hai’, Find the Happiness, Tunnel Race, Pass the Balloon, Jelly Fish and Say No to Plastic. A Yoga Display and fun horse show left the audience spellbound. A graceful dance demonstration, ‘Invocation of Peace’, by the girls of classes VI to VII was also staged. The boys of Classes VI to VIII moved the audience with their performance as the royal entourage of Prince Ali and the Genie. Other races held on the occasion were Junior Shuttle Relay, Rescue Operation Race and Building the Bridge Race. A Dance Drill by Senior School on the theme, ‘Shiv Tandav’, was also presented. During the prize distribution ceremony all the winners were awarded for their hard work and excellent performance.
