Dehradun, 16 Sep: RIMC conducted the Inter Section Hindi Debate Competition, July Term 2019, at the Thimayya Auditorium in the evening of 15 October. The Debate was divided into two Categories – Juniors and Seniors. Various Topics were chosen for the Juniors Category, like ‘Aadhunik Yug mein Adhyapak Yug Nirmata Nahi Hain’, and for the Seniors Category the Topics were, ‘Jeevan Jine Ki Kala Jeevan Ki Thokron Se Hi Sambhav Hai’, et al.
All the four Sections put their best foot forward in this battle of rhetoric. Pratap Section emerged victorious, followed by Ranjit, Shivaji and Chandragupta Sections. The Commandant gave away the Trophy to the Winning Section. Cadte Adjutant Agam secured the First Position in the Seniors’ Category, followed by Cadet Sec Com Pankaj Sangwan and Cadet Chaitanya Pandey while, in the Juniors’ Category, Cadet Yagna Pathak was adjudged the Best Speaker. Cadet Nakul and Cadet Bharat Singh Rathore stood Second and Third, respectively. The Commandant’s Special Prize was awarded to Cadet Anurag Mishra and Cadet Adarsh Sharma.
The panel of Judges comprising Atul Pundir, Nidhi Anand and Kumkum Tripathi appreciated the cadets’ rhetoric. Chief Guest Col Vivek Sharma, Commandant, RIMC, proposed the Vote of Thanks in which he expressed his gratitude to the judges for accomplishing the onerous task and lauded the efforts of the young Cadets. He also appreciated the organisational ability of the Hindi Faculty, and Khushi Ram, the organiser of the event.
