Prayers held in leading temples of U’khand for safety of Hindus in Bangladesh

Dehradun, 14 Aug: Prayers were held in leading temples of Uttarakhand including some Char Dham shrines today for the safety of Hindus in Bangladesh. The prayers were held at the initiative of the Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) which conducted the special prayers in various temples. The temples where special prayers were held today included Kedarnath temple, Badrinath temple and Tungnath temple.
Special prayers were held and rituals performed for protection of the Hindus and the Hindu temples in Bangladesh.

Speaking to the media, today, BKTC President Ajendra Ajay expressed concern over the demolition of temples in Bangladesh and atrocities being committed on the Hindus and other minorities by Jihadi elements and wished for their safety. He also issued instructions to the temple priests under the BKTC to perform special prayers in all major temples.

In Kedarnath Dham, Chief Priest Shivshankar Linga, Dharmadhikari Omkar Shukla and Vedpathi Swayamvar Semwal performed Jalabhishek of Lord Kedarnath and chanted Mahamrityunjay Paath. On this occasion, Officer In-charge Yaduveer Pushpvaan, President of Kedar Sabha Rajkumar Tiwari, Pradeep Semwal, Kuldeep Dharmwan, Lalit Trivedi, etc., were also present. In the Kalimath temple, Goddess Kali was worshipped and prayers were offered to end the problems faced by Bangladeshi Hindus.

Manager Prakash Purohit and Vedpathi Ramesh Bhatt were among those present during the Puja.

BKTC media in-charge Dr Harish Gaur shared that prayers were also held at the second Kedar Madmaheshwar, in Vishwanath Temple Guptkashi, in Narsingh Temple Joshimath, in Sita Mata Temple Chai Joshimath, in Gopal Temple Nandprayag, in the Chandrabadni Temple in Dehradun, for the safety of Hindus in Bangladesh and against the destruction of Hindu temples there.

At the same time, in Badrinath Dham, Rawal Amarnath Namboodri, Dharmadhikari Radhakrishna Thapliyal, Vedpathi Ravindra Bhatt performed special prayers to Lord Badri Vishal to protect the Hindus of Bangladesh from the atrocities being committed on them.

In the third Kedar Tungnath, Lord Tungnath was anointed with water, and prayers were offered for the protection of Hindus in Bangladesh. Manager Balbir Negi, Mathapati Ram Prasad Maithani, etc., were present on this occasion. Prayers were also offered for the protection of Bangladeshi Hindus by worshipping Lord Triyuginarayan at the Triyuginarayan temple.
