Dehradun, 14 Aug: The President of India has announced Medals for Meritorious Service (MSM) to 7 police officials of Uttarakhand. These medals will be awarded on the occasion of Independence Day-2024. Among those chosen for the award of this medal include IG, Police, Neeru Garg and DIG Jagat Ram.
Expressing happiness over the officers and personnel receiving the Meritorious Service Medal, DGP Abhinav Kumar today observed that Uttarakhand Police handle many fronts together. Apart from law and order, the state police force also maintains the dignity of Devbhoomi and the tradition of Atithi Devo Bhavah. He said that being a hill state, the state police force also works with full dedication in relief and rescue operations. He has congratulated all the medal winners.
Those who have been chosen for the MSM Award are Inspector General of Police, Fire and Emergency Services, Neeru Garg; Deputy Inspector General of Police, Police Telecommunication, Jagat Ram; Additional Superintendent of Police, GRP, Uttarakhand, Sarita Dobhal; Additional Sub Inspector, Police Headquarters, Uttarakhand, Rishi Ballabh Kothiyal; Platoon Commander, SDRF, Uttarakhand, Harak Singh; Leading Fireman, Dehradun District, Digambar Prasad; and Leading Fireman, Dehradun District, Prabodhan Singh Negi.
