Preparations in full swing for Amit Shah’s visit to Rudrapur

Rudrapur, 14 Jul: Ganesh Joshi, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Minister In-Charge for Udham Singh Nagar district, held a meeting today at the Collectorate auditorium in Rudrapur to review preparations for the proposed visit of Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah on 19 July.

Minister Joshi directed officials to ensure that the Rs 1 lakh crore Grounding Ceremony to be held in Rudrapur is conducted with complete grandeur and impact. He said the event would provide a new direction to Uttarakhand’s industrial progress and strengthen the state’s identity on the national map.

He clearly stated that no negligence would be tolerated in making Home Minister Amit Shah’s visit a success. The minister thoroughly reviewed all arrangements, including security, traffic management, cleanliness, drinking water, parking, and media coordination at the event venue, and issued time-bound instructions to concerned departments.

Minister Joshi emphasized that this programme is not only a prestigious occasion for Uttarakhand but also a matter of great pride for the Udham Singh Nagar district. He urged officials to work with full dedication and coordination to ensure the event is executed smoothly and magnificently.

He stated that, under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, investment proposals worth Rs 3.5 lakh crore were received during the 2023 Global Investors’ Summit, of which Rs 1 lakh crore is now being grounded. This reflects the growing trust of investors in the state.

The meeting was attended by Kumaon Commissioner Deepak Rawat, Secretary to the Chief Minister Vinay Shankar Pandey, District Magistrate Nitin Bhadauria, Senior Superintendent, Police, Manikant Mishra, and other departmental officials.
