St Jude’s School wins Preliminary Round of Frank Anthony Inter School Debate Competition

Dehradun, 14 Jul: St Jude’s School emerged victorious in the Preliminary Round of the prestigious Frank Anthony All India Inter School Debate Competition 2025-2026, hosted by Graphic Era Global School. The Competition saw participation from 14 schools across the city. Some of the schools that participated were Summer Valley School, Ann Mary School, Seven Oaks School, Khrist Jyoti Academy and Raja Rammohan Roy Academy.

The Topic for the Debate was, ‘AI in Education will widen the gap between privileged and underprivileged students’, addressing one of the main concerns of modern educational discourse. This topic allowed students to explore the effects of Technology on underprivileged students.

The St Jude’s School’s Debating Team demonstrated exceptional prowess and presented well-researched arguments and compelling counterpoints that impressed the panel of judges and reflected the school’s commitment to nurturing critical thinking and public speaking skills amongst its students.

The Competition continues to serve as a vital platform for young minds to engage with complex societal issues while developing their oratorical abilities and confidence.
