Rain in Mussoorie, snowfall in Dhanaulti, temperature drops drastically

Mussoorie, 20 Feb: It rained here, today, and snowfall took place in the surrounding areas causing a huge drop in temperature. People have resorted to bonfires to avoid the cold. There has been light snowfall in the tourist destinations around Mussoorie such as Dhanaulti, Nag Dibba, Lal Tibba, Khapri Dibba, Surankada Devi and high-altitude areas, which the tourists and locals present there are enjoying a lot.

At the same time, the direct effect of snowfall in Dhanaulti and the surrounding areas is being seen in Mussoorie. There is hope that, if snowfall has started in Dhanaulti and the surrounding tourist places, then there may be snowfall in Mussoorie by late night. People have been very disappointed due to snowfall not having taken place in Mussoorie and the surrounding areas. Its direct impact was visible in the tourism industry of Mussoorie and the crops of the farmers. There is  usually snowfall in Mussoorie in the months of December and January but, with changing times, the weather remained quite clear and open in these months. Snowfall is expected in February and March and the way the weather has changed on Thursday, hope has been restored. Tourists along with local people are reaching there to enjoy the snow in Dhanaulti, Buranskhanda, Pari Tibba, Lal Tibba and are enjoying the snowfall to the fullest. The Meteorological Department has predicted snowfall and rain in the high-altitude areas in the next two days.
