Sankalp Society celebrates Guru Poornima

Dehradun, 10 Jul: Sankalp Educational and Welfare Society celebrated the festival of Guru Poornima at Sunderwala, here, today. Social Worker and President of Sankalp, Ravi Singh Negi reached the residence of schoolteacher, 81-year- old Kedar Dutt Bharadwaj, who taught him during the late sixties. Along with other Sankalp volunteers Ashok Vardhan Singh, Anita Negi, Rajiv Panwar, Pradeep Singh Negi, Sakshi Tomar and Aradhya Dhiman, he obtained Bharadwaj’s blessings by bowing at his feet, thanking him for his able guidance in life.

After that, Sankalp General Secretary Anita Negi conveyed the message of Guru Poornima to the children associated with Sankalp.

On this occasion, Ravi Singh Negi stated that the teacher is the link that removes darkness in the form of ignorance from one’s life and spreads the light of knowledge.
