Dehradun, 29 Apr: Sardar Bhagwan Singh University, Balawala, hosted an insightful guest lecture, titled “From Classroom to Corporate: Your Roadmap to Success in Life Sciences”, delivered by Akhilesh Chandra, Senior Engagement Manager at Molekule Consulting. The session was held in the Seminar Hall of the Biotechnology Block and witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members across various life science programmes.
Chandra provided a comprehensive overview of the evolving life sciences industry, highlighting diverse career opportunities in pharmaceuticals, clinical research, R&D, pharmacovigilance, medical affairs, regulatory affairs, sales, and data analytics. He emphasised the growing demand for industry-relevant skills, the significance of strategic career planning, and the value of professional networking.
The session included a lively interactive segment, where students engaged with the speaker on topics related to corporate strategy, consulting, and analytics. Chandra encouraged students to embrace interdisciplinary roles and remain abreast of industry trends.
Vice-Chancellor Prof (Dr) J Kumar, appreciated the relevance of the session, noting that such engagements play a pivotal role in aligning academic learning with industry expectations. The event was also attended by Prof (Dr) Deepak Sahni, Registrar, Prof Veerma Ram, Director, School of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technology and Prof Arun Mahato, Professor Pharmaceutical Sciences and Coordinator, Placement Cell.
