Science Exhibition ‘Destination Uttarakhand’ inaugurated

Dehradun, 18 Jul: Destination Uttarakhand, a mega science exhibition, was inaugurated by Director, UCOST (Uttarakhand State Council for Science and Technology) Dr Rajendra Dobhal at a local hotel today.
The exhibition witnesses participation of several government ministries, Public Sector Units (PSUs) and organisations such as Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), National Council of Educational Research and Training, Geological Survey of India, Ministry of Earth Sciences, Power Grid, Indian Institute of Food Processing Technology, Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Ayush, Indian Council of Medical Research, NIELIT, Inland Waterways Authority and several others.
There are over 40 exhibitors from across the country.
There was a panel discussion on ‘Shrinking water resources’ moderated by Secretary, SPECS, Dr Brij Mohan Sharma. The speakers at the session were HP Uniyal and Dr Vishal Singh.
Various departments related to agriculture & agro based industries, health care, IT & Communications, Science and Technology, Research and Development, Power, Energy, Infrastructure, Tourism & Heritage, Automobiles, Handloom & Handicrafts and consumer electronics and decor exhibited their products, services and research.
The exhibition was attended by students from St Kabir Academy, North Point, Flyfot Public School, Northwood School, Maharishi Vidhya Mandir, SGRR, Tula’s International School, Olympus High School, KV 1&2, KV Upper Camp, KV Birpur, Siddharth Public School and SGRR Inter College.
