Dehradun, 14 Apr: Sardar Bhagwan Singh University, formerly SBSPGI (1994-2018), is celebrating 25 years of excellence in the field of education and research. The inauguration of the Silver Jubilee Celebration of the University was done by Sardarni Harinder Pal Kaur, the wife of the late Founder Director, today, by unfurling the University flag. Later, a bunch of colourful balloons were released symbolising the vibrant hopes of the University.
Vice Chancellor Prof AK Sharma briefed the gathering about the institution’s progress and potential growth of the University. Later, Sukhmani Sahib Paath and Guru ka Langar were organised for all the students, faculty and staff.
SBS University is also organising the Sardar Gurcharan Singh Memorial 12th National Debate Competition and a plethora of other exciting events such as Photography Competition, Philately Competition, Essay Writing Competition, Rangoli, Poster and Face Painting Competition for school students.
Present on the occasion were Chancellor SP Singh, Secretary, (GBSS), Dr GD Singh, Registrar Kishan Rawat, COE Urmi Chaurasia, Dean (Academics) Prof FC Garg, Dean (Student Welfare) Prof Manish Arora, Dean (R&D) Prof GS Randhawa, Academic Advisor Dr Luv Kush, Prof Veerma Ram (Director, Pharm. Science), Manager (Administration) Zorawar Singh, HODs, faculty, staff and students.
