SJA AA Charitable Dispensary inaugurated

DEHRADUN, 2 Oct: The SJA Alumni Association on 2nd October 2021 inaugurated the SJA AA Charitable Dispensary, at EC Road, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri. The facility was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Trivendra Singh Rawat, Former CM of Uttarakhand along with Guest of Honor Bro. Jerome Ellens, Provincial, Brother of St Patrick – Indian Provision and Anil Goyal, Senior BJP Leader. Past students of SJA from 1960s batch to 2021 were all present in large numbers to support the inauguration. In continuation of the COVID relief work by SJA Alumni Association since last two years, this dispensary is dedicated to all past students of St Joseph’s Academy who came forward and formed a strong team of front liners providing support to the entire city and community.

The dispensary houses OPD Facility by Dr Col. Naveen Mishra (Retd.), medical dispensing facility and a pathology lab all offering services at subsidised rates. As part of the inauguration ceremony a Blood Donation Camp was organised along with Rotary EClub Doon 3080 and Mahant Indresh Hospital. A total of 72 units were collected with about 22 donors rejected due to low BP or heamoglobin. A free blood checkup was done by Nivaran Pathology Lab in the same premises. The President of SJA AA, Ajay Goyal dedicated the facility to the public of Dehradun and thanked all SJA AA members who had donated generously towards the cause. The Vice President, Vijay Vachani, MC Members Ambuj Oberai, Akash Jain, Tirupati Juneja, Dhruv Sawhney, Pulkit Gupta, Garima Prem, Priya Gulati and Secretary Harshit Gupta informed that more facilities shall be added with time and regular health camps be organised at the premises. Also present were Parshad Rohan Chandel, Parshad Sanjay Nautiyal, Parshad Kamal Thapa, Rajiv Rekhi, Sh. Rajeev Nangia, Vikas Dewan, Randhir Arora, Praveen Chandhok, Navneet Oberoi, Sunit Pal, Dr Alok Jain, Vijay Sethi, Vijay Khanna, Sachin Aggarwal and other members of the Alumni Association.
