Soldier Welfare Minister Joshi meets delegation of ex-servicemen from Gorkha Rifles

Dehradun, 16 Nov: Minister of Soldier Welfare Ganesh Joshi met a delegation of exservicemen from Gorkha Rifles 2/5 (FF) at his camp office in Dehradun on Saturday. On this occasion, Captain Khem Bahadur Thapa, the Vice President of the exservicemen association, presented a memento to Joshi on behalf of the Gorkha Rifles 2/5 (F.F.) to commemorate the battalion’s 138th Raising Day. The exservicemen informed the Minister that their battalion is the only one to have three recipients of the prestigious Victoria Cross.
Minister Joshi congratulated the exservicemen and extended his best wishes on the 138th Raising Day of the Gorkha Rifles 2/5 (FF).
Present at the meeting were Captain IB Thapa, CB Subedar Ashok, Rajendra Tamang, Shyam Thapa, Subedar DB Thapa, Havildar Arvind, Havildar NB Thapa, and other members of the delegation.
