Speaker attends ‘Jadi Buti Diwas’ celebration in Kotdwar

KOTDWAR, 4 Aug: The ‘Bharat Swabhiman Nyas’ and ‘Patanjali Kisan Samiti’, Kotdwar, celebrated ‘Jadi Buti Diwas’ on the occasion of the birthday of Acharya Balkrishna, Vice Chancellor of Patanjali Yogpeeth, at Malviya Garden, here, today.

Assembly Speaker Ritu Khanduri participated as the Chief Guest. The speaker inaugurated the programme by lighting the inaugural lamp.

Mandal in-charge Amit Sajwan and District in-charge Dinesh Juyal provided information about Yoga and Ayurveda and urged people to adopt them more fully.

Speaker Ritu Khanduri Bhushan greeted Acharya Balakrishna on his birthday on behalf of all Kotdwar residents. She said that he had helped with his extensive knowledge and experience to keep the Indian tradition alive. Ayurvedic remedies and herbs researched and developed by him helped people to solve various medical problems.

She added that, through the use of herbs, Acharya Balakrishna has inspired people to lead a healthy and prosperous life. With the continuous efforts made by him, he has become a prominent name in the field of Ayurvedic medicine.

Commenting on the importance of herbs, the Speaker said that these are an integral part of Ayurveda which are naturally obtained and provide essential medical benefits without any side effects. These herbs increase the immunity of the body, give energy and help in keeping it balanced. He said that, starting from a tea leaf, there are many herbs like Neem, Tulsi, Giloy, Ashwagandha, Amla, Brahmi and Shatavari which are beneficial for health. They contain vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and other nutrients that help keep every part of the body in balance.

On the occasion, Dr Chandra Mohan Barthwal and Vaid Satyendra Kumar provided information about medicinal plants, including Giloy, Aloe Vera, Amla, Lemon, Ashwagandha, Pattharchatta, Ajwain, Harsingar, Nirgundi, Ashwagandha, Gudmar, Neem, Tulsi, etc. These plants were also distributed free of cost.

Former Ayurvedic and Unani Medical Officer Dr Chandra Mohan Barthwal, Nirankari Mission Chief Dhirendra Singh Rawat, Dinesh Juyal, Daljit Singh, Namrata Kandari, Arya Samaj Chief Sukhdev Shastri, District Incharge of Kisan Seva Samiti Chandra Kishore Aswal, Vijay Bhatia, Kamal Thapa, Mahesh Anand Kandwal, Jitendra Kala, Vinod Dhulia, Sanjay Chauhan, Vinita Lakhera, Rajni Gusain, Rakhi Nautiyal, Sarita Rawat, Rajni Agarwal, Asha Rawat, Usha Aswal, Bina Rawat, Renu Rawat, Ritu, Sushil Chauhan, etc., were present on the occasion.
