Dehradun, 8 Aug: On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, to make sure that people, especially sisters, do not face any travel issues, Senior Superintendent of Police Dehradun, Ajai Singh, personally stepped out to inspect the traffic arrangements.
He, along with other senior officers, visited key roads and busy intersections of the city, such as Darshan Lal Chowk, Clock Tower, Astley Hall Crossing, and Dilaram Crossing, to review and improve the traffic flow.
During the inspection, he gave important instructions to control traffic and reduce congestion, especially due to the increased use of four-wheelers in rainy weather.
He also directed all police station in-charges to prepare a proper traffic plan in their areas. Orders were given to deploy extra police personnel on roads, intersections, and markets where traffic pressure is expected to be high.
The police aim to ensure that citizens can travel comfortably and celebrate the festival without any inconvenience. The administration’s efforts are focused on safety, smooth traffic, and festival joy for all.
