Mussoorie, 3 Aug: The 53rd edition of the prestigious St George’s College Heritage Cup (Jackie) Invitational Football Tournament 2026 continued with great enthusiasm and sporting fervour at St George’s College, here, today. The tournament, being held from 1 to 14 August, has brought together 24 leading football teams from renowned schools and clubs across the region, reaffirming its rich legacy of promoting excellence in football and fostering the spirit of sportsmanship among young athletes.
The results of today’s matches are as follows:
In the first match of the day, Blu Football Club defeated Mussoorie Madrid Club by 4–2. For Blu Football Club, Praful opened the scoring in the 18th minute, while Lucky produced a brilliant hat-trick with goals in the 20th, 33rd, and 50th minutes. For Mussoorie Madrid Club, the goals were scored by Maaz in the 22nd minute and Saleem in the 59th minute.
In the second match, Khetwala Sports Club registered a commanding 5–0 victory over Aryan Sports Club. Himanshu scored twice in the 4th and 8th minutes, while Aman found the net in the 14th minute, Manish in the 23rd minute, and Sumit completed the scoring in the 36th minute.
In the third match, Yuva Sports Club defeated Kyarkulli Sports Club by 4–2. Anas scored twice for Yuva Sports Club in the 11th and 33rd minutes, while Dharamveer added another in the 48th minute, followed by Pankaj, who sealed the victory with a goal in the 50th minute. For Kyarkulli Sports Club, both goals were scored by Sahil in the 9th and 29th minutes.
In the fourth match, Wynberg Allen School (B Team) secured a convincing 4–2 victory over Mussoorie Public School. For Wynberg Allen School (B Team), Kunga scored in the 19th minute, Chris netted twice in the 27th and 61st minutes, and Yuhaan added another in the 60th minute. Shaveez scored both goals for Mussoorie Public School in the 32nd and 35th minutes.
In the fifth and final match of the day, St George’s College (A Team) delivered an impressive performance to defeat Wynberg Allen School (A Team) by 4–0. Bhavishya Rana opened the scoring in the 31st minute, Tanishq Dev Nagta struck twice in the 40th and 66th minutes, while Abhyudh added another goal in the 47th minute to complete a dominant victory.
The matches were officiated by a panel of referees comprising Pushkar Singh Gusain, Pradeep Negi, Prashant Rawat, Milan, and Anish Chhetri, whose fair and professional officiating ensured the smooth and successful conduct of all the fixtures.
The St. George’s College Heritage Cup (Jackie) Invitational Football Tournament 2026 is being conducted under the guidance of Brother Jeyaseelan S (Principal), Brother Britto (Superior and Sports Secretary), Brother Sylvanus Kerketta (Vice-Principal), Brother Lawrence Kujur (Assistant Sports Secretary), Brother Nithin Mitorly, Anand Thapa (Sports Coordinator), Bhavnesh Negi (PRO), and the dedicated members of the Sports Department of St George’s College.
