Dehradun, 8 Nov: An Inter-School Quiz Competition was organised by St Thomas’ College on Friday during the on-going school festival, ‘Spectrum-2024”.
Five schools from the city competed showcasing exceptional intellectual powers. They were Carman School, Dalanwala, Summer Valley School, St Joseph’s Academy, St Jude’s School and St Thomas’ College.
Sarita Sahni of St Thomas’ College was the Quiz Mistress, and the scorers were Aanya K Grimm and Harshita Lohani. There were 12 rounds viz Current Affairs, Science, Hide and Seek, Sports, Audio Round, Dumb Charades, Numerical Ability, Computers/IT, Visual Round and Rapid-Fire Round. This engaging format ensured an enlightening and entertaining experience for all.
St Jude’s School was the winner and Summer Valley School was awarded the Runners up trophy.
Brother Joseph M Joseph, Principal, St Josephs’ Academy, was the Chief Guest. He felicitated the winners and complimented the participants saying, “Quiz Competitions inspire critical thinking and Team Work and today the Quiz was a testament to the same.”
St Thomas’ College Principal RV Gardner proposed the vote of thanks. He also said, “The Inter-School Quiz competition was a resounding success, show casing the intellectual calibre of our students. We’re proud to provide a platform for young minds to shine.” He also thanked all the participating schools and their principals for sending the students for this competition.
