Dehradun, 8 Nov: Uttaranchal Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Uttaranchal University, organised an awareness camp on National Cancer Day, today, for school students of Cantt Junior High School, Prem Nager, and Rajakiya Inter College, Paondha.
This camp was conducted under the guidance of Prof (Dr) Vikash Jakhmola, Director, UIPS, and under the supervision of Dr Nidhi Gairola, HoD, UIPS. The visit was coordinated by Shilpa Rana, Sadhna Rawat and Akhilesh Nautiyal, Assistant Professor, Uttaranchal Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
The primary goal of National Cancer Awareness Day is to raise awareness about cancer, its risk factors, prevention, early detection, and treatment options. This helps in educating the students and the public about the importance of cancer prevention and early intervention.
A total of 100+ students participated in the quiz competition and presentation. It was a very informative and knowledge-enriching competition for the participants.
