DEHRADUN, 19 Feb: The students of Graphic Era Hill University took out a rally here, today, against the use of single use plastic and drug abuse. The rally was flagged off by Editor, Amar Ujala, Sanjay Abhigyan. During the rally, the students of media and mass communication also presented a street play. Through this nukkad natak, the students gave a presentation on the adverse effects of drugs and alcohol, and the harmful effects of using single use plastic. Through their presentation, the students tried to convey the message that, if individuals understand their responsibility, then a drug abuse free and plastic free society could be developed. They also showed how strong will power could easily combat drug addiction. The students made various placards, slogans, banners and face painting communicating a strong message on these issues. Present on this occasion were Vice Chancellor of Graphic Era Hill University, Prof Dr Sanjay Jasola, Director Dr Ajay Kumar, Dr Vishal Sagar, Harish Kaushal, Head of Department, Media and Mass Communication, Himani Binjola Tiwari, Vikram Rautela, Vidushi Negi, Sandeep Bhatt, Vipul Tiwari, Akriti Dhaundiyal, Sikha Mishra, Dr Sayar Mir, Insaf Khan and the students.
