Dehradun, 10 May: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami today visited the residence of senior statehood agitationist and former Chairperson of the Uttarakhand Women Commission Sushila Baluni in Dobhalwala, here, to pay his last respects.
It may be recalled that Sushila Baluni had passed away yesterday after a prolonged illness. Dhami met the bereaved family and expressed grief at the demise of Baluni. He paid tribute by offering flowers before her mortal remains. The Chief Minister said that the contribution of Sushila Baluni in the formation of a separate Uttarakhand will always be remembered.
On this occasion, Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi was also present and also paid tribute to Sushila Baluni. It may be recalled that several ministers, MLAs, etc., are among those who have condoled the demise of Sushila Baluni, including Dhan Singh Rawat, Subodh Uniyal and Satpal Maharaj. BJP State Pesident Mahendra Bhatt has also condoled the passing away of veteran BJP leader Baluni.
