DEHRADUN, 16 Nov: The Himalayan Public School celebrated 20th Annual Day on Saturday. The programme commenced with the welcome of the guests followed by the lighting of the Ceremonial lamp by the Chief Guest of the day Maj Gen Shammi Sabharwal (Retd) accompanied by the School Principal Dr Ena Banerjee and other eminent dignitaries. The School Principal welcomed the guests and the gathering and shared the School’s achievements through the Annual Report of the past session. Meritorious students were given prizes for excellence in Academics where the ISC and ICSE toppers were given a scholarship of ₹2100/- each and other students received Late Anju Arya Memorial Scholarship of ₹500. School Chairman Dr Aditya Arya, School Vice Chairman Dr RK Bakshi, School Vice Chairman Finance Ayush Arya, School Secretary Archita Chaudhary and Special Invitee Somya Arya stated that the students have smartly carved a niche for themselves. They added that students should not only be imparted excellent education but also be given great values so they can effectively serve their nation. The cultural performances were the highlight of the day, with students showcasing their talents in dance, music, drama, and various other art forms. The event ended with the vote of thanks by the Special Invitee Somya Arya.
