Toyota Kirloskar Motor signs MoU with U’khand Govt on holistic CSR Initiatives

Dehradun, 25 Sep: Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has signed an MoU with the Government of Uttarakhand. The MoU covers a wide range of CSR initiatives to be implemented across the state from FY 2025–26 onwards, focusing on key pillars such as education, health & hygiene, environmental sustainability and community development.

The collaboration between TKM and the Government of Uttarakhand marks a joint commitment to addressing critical developmental needs through multi-year CSR projects. The initiatives are expected to benefit over 3.7 Lakh people across the state.

The signing ceremony took place during the CSR Conclave held in Dehradun, in the presence of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Sunil Ambekar, Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh, RSS, along with senior state government officials and TKM leadership. Present from TKM was Vikram Gulati, Country Head and Executive Vice President, Corporate Affairs and Governance, and other senior executives.

Welcoming these initiatives, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said, “I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to Toyota Kirloskar Motor for joining hands with Government of Uttarakhand to implement holistic CSR initiatives in the state. These efforts represent the finest example of public-private collaboration and will play a pivotal role towards the shared goal of creating happier and more sustainable lives for communities. We are confident that these projects will stimulate inclusive growth throughout Uttarakhand.”

Vikram Gulati, Country Head and Executive Vice President, TKM said, “At Toyota, we believe in empowering communities through sustainable actions that create long term positive impact. We are happy to collaborate with Government of Uttarakhand to drive community development through meaningful CSR initiatives in the area of education, healthcare, environment, and livelihoods. Under the CSR initiatives, TKM will drive child-to-community initiatives by supporting early childhood education by enhancing identified Anganwadi centers. Strengthen access to quality health care through upgradation of some of the health care facilities and promoting better hygiene practices in schools. Install solar power systems for livelihood units, explore solarisation of Anganwadi and healthcare centres. This is guided by TKM’s vision of carbon neutrality that prioritises clean energy, conservation, and sustainable urban development.
