Dehradun, 27 Nov: As part of Uttaranchal University’s commitment to providing global level education to its students, Uttaranchal Institute of Management organised its annual festival as “Fest-LA-6.0”, here, today. As many as 800 participants took part directly and about 2000 students indirectly in this event, which included students from Uttaranchal Institute of Management, other institutes of Uttaranchal University, all the universities of Dehradun and prestigious schools.
The platform of FESTLA- 6.0 was an opportunity for all the students to showcase their creativity, talent, and unique ability. During this festival, every competition not only gave the students a chance to test their potential, but also became a medium to improve their thinking, innovation and leadership skills. All the events of this platform mesmerised everyone with their unique colour and creativity.
The programme was inaugurated by President of Uttaranchal University, Jitendra Joshi. On this occasion, Anuradha Joshi, President, Sushila Devi Centre for Professional Studies and Research, Vice President of the University, Ankita Joshi, Director Student Affairs, Abhishek Joshi, Vice Chancellor of the University Professor Dharma Buddhi, Pro Vice Chancellor Professor Bahuguna, Director of Uttaranchal Institute of Management Professor Pradeep Suri were among those present.
After lighting the ceremonial lamp, the University President said that the Management Department has always set a benchmark which is expected to be continuously taken forward. Through this fest, the department has proved that it not only teaches management to the students but also teaches them to incorporate it in their personal and business life.
Institute Director Professor Pradeep Suri said in his welcome address that this sixth edition of the fest is new and unique. He informed everyone and shared detailed information about the 17 competitions, which include academic, technology-based sports, cultural and outdoor adventure sports.
An attractive rangoli made in the inner premises of Uttaranchal Institute of Management drew everybody’s attention. The area of this attractive rangoli was about 625 square feet and it was made by 15 participants in 3 days. The rangolis included the main pilgrimage Kedarnath temple, a separate giant portrait of Lord Shiva, Lord Shiva, Maa Parvati and Lord Ganesha, traditional Doli, Naina Devi and Uttaranchal University.
The fest saw 33 teams participating in the Quiz Bowl Challenge, where the participants showcased their intellectual abilities. Students displayed their skills in singing, dancing, and fashion shows, while rangoli, sketching, and flower arrangement showcased their artistry. Competitions like e-gaming, roadies, and treasure hunt brought out the excitement and challenge capabilities of the students. Lastly, the stalls honed the entrepreneurial skills of the students.
