Dehradun, 12 Dec: The Uttarakhand BJP has congratulated the people of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh after the names of CMs in these states were announced by the Party High Command. State BJP President Mahendra Bhatt has expressed gratitude to the top party leadership including PM Modi for giving representation to all sections of society in the selection of Chief Ministers in these states.
In his response to the questions posed by media persons, Bhatt described the selection of Chief Ministers as an all-inclusive decision of the party in the democratic process. He claimed that BJP is a party of workers, adding that, “MLAs unanimously elected their leader in harmony.” He also congratulated Mohan Yadav, Vishnudev Sai and Bhajan Lal Sharma on being elected Chief Ministers of MP, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan, respectively. He also extended best wishes to the people of the three states on behalf of the people of Uttarakhand.
Bhatt claimed that due representation has been given by the central leadership including PM Narendra Modi, BJP’s National President JP Nadda and Home Minister Amit Shah in the election of Chief Ministers. He said, after the President, the election of a CM from the tribal community in Chhattisgarh shows the party’s commitment to advancing the neglected section of the society. Similarly, handing over the command to a worker from OBC category in Madhya Pradesh shows the party is equally concerned about the welfare and empowerment of backward sections of society. He added that selection of Bhajan Lal Sharma as the new CM of Rajasthan shows that BJP not only recognises the capabilities of ordinary party workers but also gives them the opportunity to take a leadership role.
Bhatt further claimed that the way all the sections have been given due representation by the BJP’s leadership, other political parties should also learn from this. There is no dissidence or dissatisfaction over the choice of the CMs in the party, he claimed.
