Dehradun, 14 Jul: Graphic Era has taken a major leap in the field of Artificial Intelligence. It is establishing Uttarakhand’s first AI and High-Performance Computing (HPC) Centre.
Being developed at the Silver Jubilee Convention Centre of Graphic Era at a cost of over Rs 10 crore, this centre will be the first of its kind in the state and one of the leading centres in the country, based on the world’s latest technology. This AI and HPC centre will incorporate NVIDIA’s latest 8 Blackwell GPUs and 1.74 terabytes (TB) of GPU memory. The technology is capable of delivering 72 petaflops of inference performance.
This step by Graphic Era will not only accelerate AI research and development in Uttarakhand but also lay a strong foundation for establishing the state as a hub of technological innovation. With the help of this centre, effective AI-based solutions will be developed for challenges in various sectors such as education, healthcare, agriculture, smart governance, and more. This centre is being developed in collaboration with AI world leader NVIDIA.
Chairman of Graphic Era Group of Institutions, Dr Kamal Ghanshala stated that this AI centre is an extraordinary opportunity for the youth of Uttarakhand and the country. Graphic Era is not only bringing in cutting-edge technology but is also creating a platform where next-generation innovations will become possible. Dr Ghanshala added that this would be a unique opportunity for Graphic Era’s students to connect with AI.
