Dehradun, 16 May: A ‘Rozgar Mela’ was organised at the GPO Compound, here, today. Union Minister of State for Defence and Tourism Ajay Bhatt attended the event as the Chief Guest. Bhatt handed over appointment letters to about 204 candidates selected for various departments at the mela.
Addressing the selected candidates on the occasion, Minister Bhatt congratulated them on their selection. He emphasised the government’s commitment to ensuring a fair and transparent recruitment process. He stressed on the importance of honesty in the discharge of their duties. He informed them that, out of the five phases of rozgar mela organised thus far, he is participating in the fourth. He added that by the fourth rozgar mela campaign, 2,88,000 candidates have been given employment.
Bhatt highlighted the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that under the leadership of the Prime Minister, India is fast becoming self-reliant in various sectors, from manufacturing to technology and defence.
Rajya Sabha MP Naresh Bansal, MLA Khajan Das and Mayor of Dehradun Sunil Uniyal ‘Gama’ were also present on the occasion.
Apart from this, departments like Department of Posts, AIIMS Rishikesh, CDA Air Force, Canteen Stores
Depot (CSD), Punjab National Bank, ICFRE (Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education) were represented on the occasion.
