DEHRADUN, 19 Jul: An Entrepreneurship Development Workshop for the welfare of Ex- Servicemen and their wards was organised by UPNL from 15 to 19 July at the Sainik Kalyan Directorate. The workshop was conducted by “I-Create” Bangalore and was attended by 30 Ex-Servicemen and their wards. The participants were trained in planning and execution of various types of business ventures with small capital. They were also made aware of various schemes by Government and banks, wherein loan facilities are available at lower rate of interest. After five days of the workshop these fresh entrepreneurs appeared very confidant and keen to start new ventures. The closing addresses were delivered by Lt Gen OP Kaushik (Retd) and Mussoorie MLA Ganesh Joshi. Both appreciated the initiative taken by UPNL and wished the Ex-Servicemen, all the best in their business initiatives. Brig PPS Pahwa (Retd), Managing Director, UPNL, thanked everyone present. Among those present were Maj Gen Rohit Kalia, Rear Admiral OPS Rana, Brig Ramesh Bhatia, Brig SS Patwal, Brig RS Rawat, Brig YPS Gusain, Brig Vijay Kumar, Brig GS Sisodia, Brig KB Chand and his team of officers.
