Use of mathematical principles in fighting Covid-19 discussed at International Conference

Dehradun, 4 Dec: The theory of mathematics can prove to be very useful in the strategy of fighting Covid-19. This was discussed by renowned experts of the country and abroad, today, in the 4th International Conference on Mathematics Techniques and Engineering Applications held at Graphic Era Deemed to be university.
In view of the problem of Covid-19, this two-day international conference was organised in, both, online and offline modes.
Professor Dr Hoang Pham from Rutgers University of USA stated that, by using mathematical principles, a good security strategy for the future could be prepared by correctly assessing the death rate of Covid-19.
While delivering a lecture on Park and Ride System, Professor Elzbieta Macioszek from Silesian University of Technology, Poland, explained how with the help of mathematics rules, one could get rid of the problem of parking in cities and create a planned parking system.
Explaining the open source system, Professor Dr Yoshinobu Tamura from Tokyo City University, Tokyo, discussed operational failures. Professor OP Yadav from North Dakota State University, USA, explained that through principles of mathematics and engineering, one could accurately assess the quality of any product.
Professor Ajit Verma of Norway University highlighted the care of wing engineering system. Professor Suresh Sharma of Punjab University spoke about the usefulness of product modeling.
At the end, Professor Nita Shah of Mathematics Department of Gujarat University gave a lecture on the utility of data science.
The conference was inaugurated by Prof Dr RC Joshi, Chancellor, Graphic Era Deemed to be University, and the programme was conducted by Dr Mangey Ram Swami.
The three sessions which concluded today were presided over by Professor Tadashi Dohi (Japan), Professor SP Singh (Pantnagar), and Professor SR Singh (Meerut University).
During the conference, Vice Chancellor of Graphic Era Deemed to be University Professor Dr Rakesh Sharma,
Pro-VC Professor H.N. Nagaraja, Vice Chancellor of Graphic Era Hill University, Professor Dr Sanjay Jasola,
Head of the Department of Mathematics of Graphic Era Deemed to be University, Dr Anand Chauhan,
Head of the Department of Mathematics of Graphic Era Hill University, Dr Neeraj Dhiman and other dignitaries were present.
