Uttarakhand’s Junior Golfers shine at 4th North Zone IGU Feeder Tour Event in Mohali

Mohali, 27 May: The 4th event of the North Zone IGU Feeder Tour concluded successfully at the scenic Forest Hill Golf Course in Mohali from 24 to 26 May. The tournament witnessed an impressive turnout of young golfers from across India, competing in various age categories.

Uttarakhand’s junior golfers delivered a remarkable performance, securing three podium finishes in three different categories, showcasing the growing strength of the region’s golf talent.

In Category B (Boys), Samriddh Chand Thakur displayed exceptional skill, finishing the first day at 4-over par and the second day at 11-over. In a gripping playoff, he edged out Aryaveer Grewal of Chandigarh to claim the 1st position.

In Category D (Girls), Aaradhya Rawat stunned the field with a superb opening round of 5-under par, followed by an even-par second round to take home the winner’s trophy.

The youngest achiever from the state, Snitik Chand Thakur, competing in Category F (Boys), finished 3rd overall, carding scores of 10-over and 7-over on the first and second day, respectively.

Dr Sunil Chand Thakur congratulated all the winners, expressing pride in their achievements and extended his best wishes for their continued success in future tournaments.
