Dehradun, 12 June: Instructions have been given to the departmental officers to fill the vacant posts of various cadres in the School Education Department soon. Instructions have also been given to the officers to expedite the recruitment process of BRP-CRP, Resource Person, Accountant cum Supporting Staff and Class IV personnel through outsourcing under Samagra Shiksha. Apart from this, the officers have also been asked to complete the construction work on cluster schools on time. The newly constructed building of SCERT will be inaugurated by the Chief Minister and the book ‘Hamari Virasat’ will be released soon. For this the departmental officers have been asked to complete all the preparations.
The state’s School Education Minister Dr Dhan Singh Rawat today held a departmental review at the Samagra Shiksha Auditorium located in the Directorate of School Education. He reviewed the vacant posts of various cadres under primary education, secondary education and overall education and gave necessary guidelines to the officers. Dr Rawat said that the posts lying vacant in the department for a long time should be filled soon so that departmental work can be expedited. He informed that under overall education, the recruitment process is in progress at the departmental level for 955 posts of BRP-CRP, 161 posts of Resource Person IED and 326 posts of Accountant cum Supporting Staff, soon appointments will be given on these posts through outsourcing. The departmental minister said that to overcome the shortage of teachers in primary and secondary education, the officers have been asked to expedite the recruitment process. He informed that in the first phase under primary education, district-wise notification has been issued for 2917 posts of basic teachers.
Under secondary education, the requisition for 1544 posts of Assistant Teacher LT has been sent to the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission, the list of teachers selected from the commission will be available soon in relation to these posts, while the requisition for 613 posts of lecturer has also been sent to the State Public Service Commission. Dr Rawat said that the practical difficulties being faced in the recruitment process being done through outsourcing for about 2500 posts of class IV in government secondary schools will be resolved soon. Dr Rawat said that soon the newly constructed building of SCERT will be inaugurated by the Chief Minister and the book ‘Hamari Virasat’ prepared by SCERT under the provisions of the New Education Policy-2020 will be released. For this, departmental officials have been instructed to complete all the preparations.
Dr Rawat reviewed the functioning of Vidya Samiksha Kendra and instructed the officials to compile all the data related to schools, students and teachers on a real time basis. He said that all the problems of teachers are being resolved by running Vidya Samiksha Kendras so that teachers can focus their full attention on educational activities. In the meeting, Dr Rawat also reviewed the progress related to the construction of cluster schools. He also directed the officials to take concrete action against the implementing agencies on the delay in the construction work of cluster schools.
Director General, School Education, Banshidhar Tiwari, Additional Secretary, School Education, Ranjana Rajguru, MM Semwal, Director, SCERT, Vandana Garbyal, Director, Primary Education, RK Uniyal, Director, Secondary, MS Bisht, Additional Project Director Dr Mukul Sati, Staff Officer, Education, BP Mandoli and other departmental officials were present at the meeting.
