Voter awareness campaign starts in Uttarakhand

DEHRADUN 2 Feb: As per the directions of the Election Commission of India, in order to make the masses aware about elections and voting, some voter awareness campaigns have been proposed in the state headquarter Dehradun. The first programme has been scheduled at the Raipur Chowk on February 4, under which street play, slogan, besides voting oath etc will be held. On February 7, cultural team will hold oath and human chain programme at the Prem Nagar Chowk (Dehradun).
Apart from this, on February 9, at ISBT Mall, cultural team will hold mehndi and oath programme. On 11 February, street play, painting and oath programme will be held at Press Club. On February 13, there will be puppet shows, street play, rangoli, human chain and oath programme in village Guniyal, in which the State Icon Tashi Malik and Nungshi Malik will be present as chief guests. On February 15, in Shivpuri Rishikesh, people will be made aware about the voting by holding street play, sand art, human chain and oath programme, wherein people would be administered oath to cast their vote.
At all the places, quiz regarding elections and information about EVM and VVPAT will be provided. Attractive prizes will also be given to the winners of various competitions.
