Dehradun, 22 Apr: Welham Girls’ School is commemorating its Diamond Jubilee (1957-2019) and is holding the 3rd Welham Girls’ School Diamond Jubilee Invitational Basketball Tournament for Girls from 22 to 24 April.
Six schools from other parts of the country are participating in this Tournament, apart from two teams from WGS.
The schools taking part are Durga Public School, Solan; La Martiniere’s Girls’ School, Kolkata; LK Singhania Education Centre, Gotan; Maharani Gayatri Devi Girls’ School, Jaipur; Motilal Nehru School of Sports, Rai; Pinegrove School, Solan; Welham Girls’ School – Blue; Welham Girls’ School – White.
The result of today’s matches were: Welham Girls’ School (Blue) beat Maharani Gayatri Devi Girls’ School, Jaipur, 40 – 04 Points. Motilal Nehru School of Sports, Rai, beat La Martiniere Girls’ School, Kolkata, 45 – 24 Points. Durga Public School, Solan, beat LK Singhania Education Centre, Gotan, 50 -17 Points.
La Martiniere Girls’ School, Kolkata, beat Welham Girls’ School (White), 27-14 Points.
