There are certain Human Level activities I have noted as my life’s experience –
- In case of a person to person dispute, the person with a wealthy positioning, would always seem to be viewed as correct…and would have the strength of support.
- And in case this wealthy person endorses any other person…automatically the other person would be viewed to be right.
- The wealthy person would generally endorse any other person who has capability to generate fear of destruction or any other transactional advantage.
And it amuses me to no extent that supposedly mature Nation States also have absolutely similar behavioural pattern…at the end of the day the leadership leading the Nation Sates are at a Human Level; and have a nuanced thought process aligned to their own personality, self-centered-self-serving thinking and inebriated with their power of position. They start playing God.
So…we have the US and her dealings with Israel, Iran, Pakistan and India.
- US is the wealthy Nation State, playing God to Israel…protecting her against Iran…the supposedly evil Breakout Nation, with a potential to destroy the region with her dangerous toys.
- Iran is an existential threat to Israel, since it is a neighbouring country very near to developing her own Nuclear Arsenal, despite being a signatory of the NPT (Non Proliferation Treaty)…surrounded by Pakistan, China and Russia…and surprising they are not perceived to be having a nuclear line with any of them, specifically the Islamic Bomb of Pakistan.
- Pakistan is also an existential threat to India, already having Nuclear Arsenals (170 against 180 Nuclear Warheads of India)…having fought more than three wars, big and small, against her…being the only Islamic Nation to be a declared Nuclear Power…positioning itself as a saviour of Islam, amongst the OIC (Organization of Islamic Cooperation)…hence having support of the Member Nation States of OIC (most of them having strategic Oil Reserves; hence rich and influential).
- However, US’s approach to Pakistan is nuanced, since she endorses its importance from a geopolitical perspective suiting her leadership. Nuclear Arsenals, Enriched Uranium, unstable Command and Control… yet have different standards of measurement with the US, than what its leadership has in the case of Iran.
Evidently, India is not Israel. Specifically on account of a vastly reduced commercial interest inter se…further Israel has a majorly influential diaspora…investing a huge amount of money to support Governments…The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) is incredibly influential in Washington DC. They actively lobby Congress and administrations, advocating for policies that support Israel and mobilise significant financial and electoral support to pro-Israel politicians. Within the US politics, there exists a bipartisan support to Israel and the associated Jewish community. Israel’s innovation partnership with the US, in the field of Defence, Oil, Science and Technology is flourishing and well pronounced.
And Pakistan is not Iran. It is the only longstanding bridge which US has to the Mainland China. Kissinger used this bridge to draw a line into China and develop a relationship on which a huge trade legacy was built between US and China…so visible today…with China transforming into a critical supply chain hub to the US…cooling the Cold War away. Pakistan is also a base for US, linking it to Afghanistan as well as the Levant, giving it the necessary leverage to arm twist the ISIS&K, Al Qaeda and multiple other terrorism cells spread like a dangerous virus, all around the region. Osama Bin Laden was found chilling out in Abbottabad, very near to the Pakistan Army Establishments…yet it positioned itself to be helping US to direct them to catch their pray…and US gave a pat on their back ignoring Osama hiding within.
India’s significance is definitely blossoming with the US…yet a long way to go to grow in proportionate significance to Pakistan and Israel.
The right move is India’s growing closeness with Israel…increasing Trade and Defence ties with the US…steps in the right direction with the EU Block.
What needs to be pushed forward is to manage the relationship with Russia, and China, to leverage it the same way or significantly better to make Pakistan redundant…without being that Human in my life’s experience…who generates Fear and Destruction.
