Workshop on craft intensives held at various schools

Dehradun, 30 Apr: SPIC MACAY organised a workshop and craft intensives at Welham Boys’ School, DAV Public School and Hopetown Girls’ School, here, today.
The programme had various workshops conducted by renowned artists, including a Photography Workshop by Bhumesh Bharti, Bhil Tribal Painting by Gangu Amaliyar, Phad Temple Painting by Gopal Joshi, Warli Tribal Art by Chandrakant Mahala, Calligraphy Workshop by Mushtaq Ahmad and Pottery Workshop by Kamaldeep.
During the workshop, the students learned several art forms including Calligraphy, Kamsaale, Kalamkari Painting, Chittara Painting, Madhubani painting, Lambadi Embroidery, Kasuti Embroidery, Gombe Atta, Bagh Block Printing and Pottery making among others.
On the occasion, one of the artists said, “The participating students were really happy to get such an opportunity. They had the rare privilege of interacting directly with senior renowned artists. They also felt excited about performing in front of everyone.”
