DEHRADUN, 4 Jul: BJP state president and Rajya Sabha member Mahendra Bhatt on Saturday described Pushkar Singh Dhami as the first BJP chief minister to serve a full term as a proud achievement for every party worker. Extending congratulations and best wishes to all workers and citizens on this occasion. Bhatt claimed that Dhami’s tenure has been successful, remarkable and historic and he expressed confidence that his journey of development, good governance and welfare will create new history, surpassing the record of former chief minister ND Tiwari,
Bhatt asserted that under Dhami’s leadership Uttarakhand has established new milestones in development, governance and welfare, with achievements and bold decisions becoming examples for the country. He emphasised that this period is not merely a count of years but a golden era of comprehensive development for the State. Dhami, he said, has fulfilled the motto of ‘Vikalp Rahit Sankalp’ through historic decisions and effective governance. Uttarakhand created history by implementing the Uniform Civil Code, while strong measures against religious conversion and encroachment preserved the sanctity of Devbhoomi. A zero tolerance policy against corruption ensured transparent and accountable administration, a stringent anti-cheating law safeguarded the future of youth, and the highest number of jobs were provided.
The BJP State president added that visionary policies have attracted industrial investment worth Rs 3.5 lakh crore, per capita income has risen significantly, GDP and the annual budget have reached new heights, unemployment has fallen below the national average, and the state has ranked high in ease of doing business and sustainable development indices. The grandeur and facilities of the Char Dham have been transformed, making year-round pilgrimage possible, while long-pending reservations for women and movement activists have been implemented. The reconstruction of Kedarnath and Badrinath shrines, the Rishikesh–Karnaprayag rail project, the all-weather road and the Vibrant Village scheme for border areas are reshaping Uttarakhand.
Bhatt said that with the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Dhami’s effective execution, Uttarakhand has joined the leading states of the country. He expressed confidence that under Dhami’s leadership the resolve of ‘Empowered Uttarakhand @ 2025’ will gain momentum and this decade will undoubtedly be Uttarakhand’s decade. He also noted that in a few days Dhami will achieve another milestone becoming the longest-serving chief minister of the State on July 9.
