Dehradun, 6 Aug: Lt General Virendra Vats, Director General, National Cadet Corps (DG NCC), called on Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, here today. During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the expansion of the NCC across Uttarakhand, with emphasis on increasing the NCC footprint in border and remote areas to provide greater opportunities to the youth of the State.
The Director General also highlighted the need for strengthening NCC infrastructure, including the establishment of training facilities and the proposed NCC Academy in Uttarakhand.
The Chief Minister assured full support of the State Government for these initiatives and reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to promoting the values of discipline, leadership, patriotism, and national service embodied by the NCC.
He appreciated the significant contribution of the NCC towards nation-building and youth empowerment and assured all possible assistance for the timely implementation of the proposed projects.
The meeting reflected the shared commitment of the Government of Uttarakhand and the NCC to further strengthen the organisation’s role in shaping the youth of the State and the nation.
