Dehradun, 10 Aug: Classes at Graphic Era Deemed University were not held today following the demise of a staff member and a student.
A condolence meeting was held at the university to pay tribute to the departed souls. Vaishnavi Rawat, a BTech Biotechnology student, died in a road accident near the university. Meanwhile, Assistant Librarian Dhyan Pal Singh Rawat passed away after a prolonged illness. As a mark of mourning, all classes and laboratories at Graphic Era Deemed University remained closed today.
The condolence meeting was attended by University Vice Chancellor Dr Narpinder Singh, Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr Santosh S. Sarraf, Registrar Dr Rakesh Kumar Sharma, and the teaching faculty.
