Dehradun, 9 Dec: Ann Mary School celebrated the remarkable achievements of two outstanding students, Sanchit Batra and Manvi Anand, at a special felicitation ceremony on 9 December. Students from classes 6 to 12 gathered to witness and celebrate the accomplishments of their peers. School Secretary Jitendra Joshi and Director Ankita Joshi were present at the event.
Sanchit Batra, an 8th-grade student, was honoured for his exceptional performance at the Indian Debating League (IDL) held at IIT Delhi on 30 November. Competing against over 1400 students, Sanchit reached the finals as part of the Uttarakhand team, showcasing his debating skills and intellect on global issues. His remarkable achievement brought pride to Ann Mary School.
Manvi Anand, a student of Class VII-D, was recognised for her outstanding performance at the International Karate-Do Championship in Amritsar (22-24 November). Manvi won a gold medal in Kata and a silver medal in Kumite, representing the country internationally. Her dedication and passion for Karate shone through in her achievements, making her a role model for students aspiring to excel in sports.
Ankita Joshi addressed the assembly, and her motivating words inspired the students to aim higher in their pursuits. The leadership team expressed their pride in Sanchit and Manvi’s accomplishments and emphasised the school’s commitment to nurturing talent across various fields. The ceremony was a reminder of how hard work, dedication, and a positive mindset lead to great success, motivating students to pursue their dreams with even more determination.
Dr Preeti Saxena, Principal, Ann Mary School, proposed the vote of thanks. Dr Saxena congratulated Sanchit and Manvi for their outstanding achievements and expressed pride in their success. She thanked the teachers and students for their contribution in making the school a nurturing environment for growth and excellence.
