Dehradun, 5 Sep: BJP claimed today that it will achieve a landslide victory in the Kedarnath byelection. During an informal interaction with media persons at the BJP State Headquarters here, today, State Spokesperson Suresh Joshi asserted that BJP is a cadre-based organisation in which ministers, chief ministers also function like workers. Joshi claimed that it is impossible for the power-hungry Congress to understand how a minister can work in such a way.
In response to a question regarding action against Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi in a complaint related to allegations of disproportionate assets against him, and regarding the notice served by the court in this regard, Joshi claimed that the BJP Government respects the court and will take an appropriate decision after seeking legal opinion in this respect.
Answering the questions asked about Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi, he said that the party’s opinion is clear on this whole issue. The party is confident that the government will take the right decision at the right time as per the legal opinion.
He asserted that the Kedarnath seat, which had fallen vacant due to the death of MLA, the late Shaila Rani Rawat, is certain to go the BJP way in the bypoll. Joshi claimed that the party will contest the elections in Kedarnath on the basis of the development work done by Shaila Rani Rawat as the local MLA and on the basis of the achievements of CM Dhami and PM Modi. He said that BJP remains always prepared since it is active round the clock every single day. He added that, along with party officials, ministers and MLAs have also been assigned responsibilities there to canvass public support and the party is bound to get the benefit of their political and organisational experiences in the elections.
Retaliating to the Congress allegations on the deployment of ministers, Joshi said that BJP is a worker-based party and wherever the need is felt, the ability of even top leaders can be utilised anywhere. Here, Chief Minister, Ministers, MLAs, all are party workers and, in the elections, also, their services and the experiences can be utilised in the best interest of the party. Joshi claimed that it is difficult for Congress leaders to comprehend this process, because they are a power-hungry party, and their organisation revolves around the ministers and MLAs. At present, due to the guidance of PM Modi and the historical work done under the leadership of CM Dhami and the unforgettable contribution of the late MLA Shaila Rani Rawat, BJP is sure to win there with record votes, he asserted.
