DEHRADUN, 16 Jul: “So please, oh please, we beg, we pray, go throw your TV set away, and in its place you can install a lovely bookshelf on the wall.” – Roald Dahl. Reading amongst children needs to be inculcated at an extremely young age with the onus equally on teachers and parents to invest in books and lead by example by reading themselves. The Booknerds, which has always been passionate about driving this vision, conducted a Book Reading and Distribution in collaboration with the people at Maple Press Books as a part of The Booknerds Childrens’ Summer Book Club at Little Flower School, here. The reading sessions were conducted with grade 1,2 and 5 students and the children were excited to read their favourite story books like Rapunzel, stories by Premchand, and many more. Co-founders Rohan and Neha Raj conducted the sessions with support from Ratna Manucha, Principal, Little Flower School and the teachers. The best readers were awarded books by The Booknerds sponsored by Maple Press Books.
