Lakhwar (Dehradun), 16 Jul: Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan today carried out a detailed onsite inspection of the under construction Lakhwar Multipurpose Project and reviewed the progress of construction across various stages. On this occasion, he issued strict directions to the agencies concerned to expedite the work. He emphasised that the project is of national importance and would benefit several states, which makes its timely completion a matter of high priority. During the inspection, he instructed Uttarakhand Jal Vidyut Nigam Limited (UJVNL) and the executing agency, L&T, to ensure that the project is completed by 2031, advancing the earlier target of December 2034.
