Heritage School witnesses Cultural Extravaganza

Dehradun, 18 Oct: The Heritage School witnessed a cultural extravaganza, today, as it celebrated its 66th Annual Day. The Chief Guest on this occasion was Radhika Jha, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, and Chairperson, Uttarakhand Power Corporation.
The programme began with lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the Chief Guest. This was followed by the presentation of the Annual Report by the School Principal, B Gill. The Heritagians paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on his 150th birth anniversary by singing Bapu’s favourite Bhajan `Vaishnav Jan Toh Tehne Kahiya Je.’
The dance extravaganza began with a Bengali dance, Dhunchi Nritaya, followed by ‘Vibrant India’. The little ones presented a musical act on Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs. Then there were the Matadors regaling the spectators through a Spanish Dance. The next performance was a fusion of Indian Classical and Western style. The Finale depicted the dire need to save Nature to save mankind.
Chief Guest Radhika Jha lauded the efforts made by the students and congratulated the School for achieving high standards in Academics and Sports. The programme ended with a vote of thanks followed by the School song and the National Anthem.
