J&K Govt sets up Emergency Helpline for stranded tourists

Srinagar, 23 Apr: In the aftermath of the terrorist attack in Pahalgam yesterday, the Government of Jammu and Kashmir has instituted a round-the-clock emergency helpline to provide assistance to tourists.

According to an official spokesperson, the district administration of Anantnag has set up a 24×7 emergency help desk for visitors seeking aid or information. Tourists may reach out via the following contact numbers: 01932222337, 7780885759, 9697982527, or 6006365245.

Additionally, an emergency control room has been established in Srinagar to facilitate further assistance. Travellers requiring help regarding the Pahalgam incident may contact the control room at 01942457543, 01942483651, or 7006058623, the spokesperson stated.

Authorities have assured that all possible measures are being taken to ensure the safety and well-being of visitors in the region.
