Dehradun, 15 May: The 7th District Taekwondo Championship was organised on 12 Mayat the Community Centre, Athurwala, by Knock Out Taekwondo Club supported by the Dehradun District Taekwondo Association.
As many as 180 children participated in the competition in Senior, Junior, Sub-Junior & Cadet category. Mohd Ahmed, Anmol Nahar, Shagun, Narayan Thakur, Ayush Om, Karan Kumar participated.
Mohd Ahmed won the Best Fighter Trophy, a gold medal and cash award (Senior under 54 kg category). Anmol Nahar (Sub Junior under 35 kg), Shagun (Sub Junior under 24 kg), Narayan Thakur (Sub Junior under 24 kg) won silver medals and brought laurels to their institution.
The Chief Guest, Dhirendra Panwar, OSD to the Chief Minister, gave away the awards to the winners.
