Dehradun, 28 Oct: A Grand Mushaira was held on the occasion of the launch of Inam-ul-Haq Ramzi’s Poetry Collection, “Pyar Ki Khushbu” (The Fragrance of Love), under the auspices of the Uttaranchal Urdu Academy Society at Tasmia Academy, 1- Inder Road, Dehradun.
The launch was conducted by a distinguished group of guests, including Dr. S. Farooq, Rizwan Ahmed Khan (Director, Prayag IAS Academy), Razia Beg (former Chairperson of the Bar Council), Dr. M. S. Ansari, R. K. Bakhshi, Shahid Ali (Director, Future Era School), and Dr. Himmat Singh, among others.
Dr. S. Farooq presided over the Mushaira. Rizwan Ahmed Khan attended as the Chief Guest. Other guests in attendance included Irshad Ahmed, Dr. M.S. Ansari, Anoop Kaul and others.
Invited poets included Afzal Manglori, Shanawar Kartapuri, and Dr. Aftab Nomani. Local poets who participated included Nadeem Barni, Shohar Jalalabadi, Raees Ahmed Figar, Rajkumar, Dard Garhwali, Jasbir Singh Haldar, Monica Mansha, and Tasleema Kausar.
The event was moderated by Paramveer Singh Kaushik. Programme Convener Inam-ul-Haq Ramzi proposed the vote of thanks. At the end, two minute silence was observed to remember and pray for the late Poet Janab Zia Nehtauri.
