Dehradun, 27 Oct: Renowned wildlife and fashion photographer Aakash Das said today that wildlife and environmental photography is not merely the art of capturing pictures, but also a powerful medium to understand nature more closely.
He was addressing a programme on the art of wildlife and fashion photography at Graphic Era Hill University today. Aakash Das said that the purpose of his photographs is not merely to impress people, but also to connect them with nature and inspire them to work towards its conservation.
The programme was jointly organised by the University’s Department of Visual Arts and Department of Media and Mass Communication. Head of the Department of Visual Arts Dr Anand Karmakar, Head of the Department of Media and Mass Communication Dr Abhishek Singh, Dr Anirban Dhar, Dr Himani Binjola, Dr Ankita Uniyal, faculty members and students attended the programme.
