DEHRADUN, 26 Jul: The Himalayan Public School organised its 16th investiture ceremony today in its auditorium. Chairman Dr Aditya Arya, Secretary Archita Chaudhary, School Principal (Dr) Ena Banerjee, Director, Administration, Col VS Mall, teachers, students and parents were present on the occasion. The programme commenced with a prayer, welcome speech and the national song. The student council then marched into the auditorium for the oath taking ceremony. The oath was administrated by the Principal, who informed them about their duties. The school captain (Boy) Jatin Kukreti – Class – XII; school captain (Girl) Swastika Jain – Class XII; and Junior school captain (Boy) Harshit Bisht and Junior school captain (Girl) Priyanshi Panwar of class V, were sworn in along with their vice captains. The badges and sashes were presented to these new captains and prefects by the Chairman, Secretar y, P rincipal and Director, Administration. Col VS Mall (Retd) delivered a speech on Vijay Diwas, followed by screening of a documentary. The School Management presented saplings to the proud parents of the young dynamic leaders on the occasion of Harela. The programme concluded with the National Anthem.
