Dehradun, 28 Aug: The Bharatiya Janata Party has strongly condemned the use of offensive language against Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s late mother from the stage in the presence of Rahul Gandhi during the Congress’s ‘Vote Adhikar Yatra’ in Bihar. The party has termed it as a reflection of the party’s politics rooted in hatred. State BJP President and Rajya Sabha MP Mahendra Bhatt issued a scathing statement, asserting that the incident amounts to a moral crime for which even a thousand apologies would not suffice to earn public forgiveness.

In his media statement, Bhatt alleged that during the Congress-led yatra, Tejashwi Yadav and Rahul Gandhi permitted the use of such vulgar and indecent language from their platform that it could not be accepted in any civilised public discourse. He claimed that the Congress leadership has crossed all boundaries of insult, hatred, and impropriety, and described the episode as the lowest point in Indian political conduct. According to him, this incident exposes the true nature of the Congress’s so-called “shop of hatred”.

Bhatt further accused the Congress of being indifferent to the pride of the nation and the dignity of the states. He alleged that the party’s strategy involves creating divisions among people from different regions. Referring to the presence of leaders like Stalin and Revanth Reddy in the yatra, Bhatt said that these leaders had previously made derogatory remarks against the people of Bihar, yet they were invited to share the stage by Tejashwi and Rahul.

Bhatt maintained that despite all the theatrics and political manoeuvring, the Congress’s yatra is failing to gain traction among the masses. In a desperate bid to attract attention, Bhatt claimed, the party has resorted to allowing its associates to make disgraceful comments about the Prime Minister’s late mother. He described this act as a grave moral lapse, stating that even if Rahul and Tejashwi were to apologise a thousand times while holding their ears, the people of India would not forgive them for such indecency.
