Dehradun, 15 May: A workshop demonstration by Anjan Saha on ‘Sitar’ was held at GIC Nalapani here today. The workshop was earlier held at several Government schools of Dehradun district including GIC Kishanpur, Mehuwala, Lakkhibag, Soda Saroli and Kargi.
Anjan’s workshop focused on spreading knowledge about Indian classical music and the role of sitar in it.
He was accompanied by Saurav Ahuja on the tabla.
Anjan Saha is an empanelled artist of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations. He has learnt Sitar under his Guru, Pandit Debiprosad Chatterjee of Senia Maihar Gharana.
The workshop was witnessed and enjoyed by students and teachers.
Anjan Saha has been performing extensively in India and abroad and has conducted his workshops at schools in Germany as well.
